The O’Riley family of Boston, while on vacation in Northern Ireland, meet the larger than life characters Keegan D. McDuff and Michael D. O’Donnell.
By fates design, all are suddenly thrust into a search for the Sword of Toulan … which vanished 1500 years ago from the Cathedral at Kinsale. At every step, the searchers face disappointments and serious personal challenges which require enormous ingenuity and courage to overcome. They are thwarted, at every tum, by evil spirits and banshee’s intent on fulfilling an ancient curse … that if the Sword was not found within 1500 years of the exact date and time it was stolen, an unimaginable cataclysm would befall humanity.
Joined by Shamus O’Malley and his leprechauns, the search becomes a white-knuckle and ethereal journey to find not only the Sword but also the missing Staff of Ireland’s legendary St. Patrick. A mysterious legend holds that the combined supernatural powers of both the sword and staff will be needed to avert the effects of the curse.
